Sleep at the abbey of Valsaintes.
Located in the village of Simiane-la-Rotonde, in Luberon and Haute Provence, we host you in the garden of abbaye de Valsaintes for a night, a week-end or more in our guest rooms and our group lodge.
In the middle of a Remarkable Garden
Our accommodation is located in the heart of the Gardens of the Abbaye de Valsaintes, which are classified as a Remarkable Garden, and which offers a calm setting for your stay. You can enjoy the Gardens at your leisure and walk along the paths that lead to the rose garden with more than 550 varieties of rose bushes and discover the secrets of the Way of the Roses. You will also discover the dry garden, the permaculture vegetable garden and the church of the 4th Cistercian Abbey of Provence, which has been completely renovated.
An ideal starting point to explore
the Luberon and Haute-Provence
the Luberon and Haute-Provence
You will be perfectly placed to discover our beautiful region, starting with our Remarkable Garden and its Cistercian church.
Fans of typically Provençal “villages perchés” will be delighted with the village of Simiane-la-Rotonde (4 km) but also the village of Banon, which is known for its famous cheeses which come wrapped in chestnut leaves (15 km away).
You can go to Apt (20 minutes away) and stroll through its Provençal market on a Saturday morning and discover the Colorado Provençal in Rustrel, a remarkable natural site.
And of course, in the summer, you can enjoy the magnificent lavender fields which stretch as far as the eye can see, and meet passionate lavender farmers.
An authentic place to stay or study in Provence
Our group lodge welcomes groups or large families in a soothing and warm setting.
Sports groups will be able to explore our beautiful region on foot, bike or mountain bike. Haute-Provence is crisscrossed by many paths and hiking trails.
We bear the label Accueil vélo: we pay special attention to our cycling friends who, starting out from Valsaintes, will be able to discover the many cycling loops of the Luberon à Vélo and even start an ascent of Mont Ventoux, the giant of Provence.
